OKINAWA: A Place of Exchange, Peace, and Nature
Okinawa is an archipelago shaped by centuries of cultural exchange, with influences from Japan, China, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, and the United States. This layered history gave rise to a distinctive food and drink culture that feels both deeply local and naturally open to the world. Okinawa’s history has shaped a strong sense of togetherness, and today the islands are defined by a shared commitment to peace, harmony, resilience, and prosperity.

Japan is internationally known for produce of exceptional quality and appearance, yet much fruit is excluded from premium channels if it is not visually perfect.
In Okinawa, where indigenous and tropical fruits are a defining part of the island’s identity, we see an opportunity to champion fruit at peak flavor, even when it falls outside traditional premium standards. -
Yuimaru is a modern Okinawan fruit liquor built on the island’s own foundations: delicious tropical fruit, Awamori, cane sugar, and kokuto (Okinawan rock sugar).
The idea is to transform overlooked local fruit into something vibrant and valuable, using only ingredients that feel native to Okinawa’s land, climate, and culture. -
Our mission is rooted in sustainability and support for Okinawa’s local community.
Our aim is not to replace tradition, but to celebrate it, support local producers, and take part in the continued evolution of one of Okinawa’s most distinctive rice spirits.
